Video Clip: "The Cost of Ivory" on 60 Minutes

My favorite elephant convervation group, The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, was featured in a 12-minute segment on CBS Television's 60 Minutes news program on 12/21/08.

There are more 60 Minutes elephant videos you can watch online. It makes me happy to see CBS airing programs for the cause. I'm also pleased that they host the video clips on-line for those of us that don't watch regularly-scheduled programming. So here's a big ear-flap for CBS!

I have seen the Tarra and Bella CBS video several times and it always touches my heart. What wonderful work the Elephant Sanctuary does. I can't wait to get copies of the books and hope to help in any way I can. Thanks for the opportunity.

I'm passionate about wild elephant conservation. It's something that has overtaken my heart and soul. After a trip to Kenya, where I went to see wild elephants and meet some of my conservationist heroes, I returned to Northern California, asking, "What can I do to help?" So I began writing.
